Description

The T-DIN is a digits-in-noise hearing screening test developed as an Android smartphone app. Triplets of Turkish digits 0–9, spoken by a male voice, are presented in white noise; the first three of 23 triplets are practice items. The signal-to-noise ratio is adapted in 2 dB steps, responses are entered on an on-screen keypad, and the test takes under 5 minutes. In 100 adults, groups with mild sensorineural and mixed hearing loss scored significantly lower than listeners with normal hearing.
