Description

The HINT-TR is a sentence test that adaptively measures the reception threshold for sentences in quiet and the signal-to-noise ratio needed to understand speech in noise. Testing is done in four conditions: quiet, noise front, noise right and noise left, and results are reported as thresholds in dB. The Turkish adaptation was published in 2008; updated norms were obtained in 2026 from 30 adults with normal hearing, tested with headphones and loudspeakers in a quiet, non-sound-treated clinic room.
