Description

The Dizziness Handicap Inventory is a 25-item self-report tool that assesses the impact of dizziness and unsteadiness on daily life. It has three subscales: physical, emotional and functional. Items are answered “yes” (4), “sometimes” (2) or “no” (0); the total score ranges from 0 to 100, and a higher score indicates greater handicap. The Turkish version was studied in 178 patients with dizziness complaints over the previous month, with subscale Cronbach's alpha values between 0.67 and 0.82.
