Description

This is an Android screening app for assessing dichotic listening. Spectrally matched pairs of three- and four-word Turkish sentences, spoken by female and male voices, are presented simultaneously to both ears. After 5 practice pairs, the test has ten pairs each for directed right-ear, directed left-ear and undirected listening; the listener selects the sentences heard on screen, and results are calculated as percent correct for each ear and condition. In a study of 30 young (18–40 years) and 30 older (55–70 years) adults, young adults scored significantly higher.
