The PEACH is a 13-item rating scale in which parents evaluate the everyday auditory and oral performance of children using hearing aids or cochlear implants. The first two items concern device use and reactions to loud sounds and are not scored; the remaining items cover listening and communication in quiet (6 items) and noisy (5 items) situations. Items are rated from 0 (never) to 4 (always); quiet, noise and total scores are converted to percentages, and a higher score indicates better performance. The Turkish version showed high internal consistency (Cronbach's α = 0.942) and test–retest reliability (r = 0.949).
Everyday auditory and oral performance: listening and communication in quiet and noise, telephone use, awareness of environmental sounds
Children using hearing aids or cochlear implants; the Turkish study included 120 children aged 3–12 years.
