Academy
Teaching, lab and publishing resources for audiology educators and researchers. Use the sections on the left or the search box to find what you need.
For research
Following the literature, choosing a journal, congress dates, participant calls and reporting recommendations.
01Latest issues and archive
Articles published in the journals of the guide, loaded straight from PubMed into your browser. For ENT and acoustics journals only papers on hearing and balance are shown.
Data are fetched live from the NCBI E-utilities service and kept only in your browser for 6 hours; Auditory Scene does not store them. "Recently added" is sorted by the date the record entered PubMed. The citation buttons copy text in APA 7 and Vancouver (NLM) style; check against the journal record before submitting.
02Journal guide
Audiology and hearing science journals, selected ENT journals that regularly publish audiology research, selected speech and language journals that also cover hearing, and journals from TĂĽrkiye. Click a row to see ISSN, scope and links.

JIF: Clarivate Journal Citation Reports, 2025 data (released June 2026). Values marked †could not be verified with their year on the journal page and were taken from secondary sources.
Publication fee: Article processing charge (APC); for hybrid journals, the fee for the open access option. Excluding taxes, as of September 2026. Fees and impact factors change every year; check the journal's own page before submitting.
An impact factor alone does not indicate the quality of a journal or an article (DORA).
03Congress deadlines
Upcoming abstract and registration deadlines for the congresses on the Events page, with days remaining. You can add them to your calendar.
Dates come from the Events pages, which are compiled from the official congress websites. Congresses may change dates; check the official website before submitting. The calendar file includes a reminder 7 days before each deadline.
04Participant and collaboration calls
Announcements from researchers looking for participants or collaborators for surveys and studies. Where a study requires ethics approval, the approval details are included in the call.
Past calls (0)
When submitting a call
- If your study requires ethics approval, it must already be approved; include the committee name, date and reference number.
- State in the linked information sheet that participation is voluntary and how personal data will be protected.
- Send the title, researchers, institution, target group, estimated time, deadline and participation link; the button opens an email draft with these headings.
- Calls are published after review and move to past calls automatically after the deadline.
Auditory Scene only announces calls; researchers are responsible for conducting their studies.
05Research resources
Research tools on the site and referenced recommendations for common reporting questions when writing a paper.
Reporting recommendations
Points most often left unclear in methods sections. Each recommendation comes with references and example sentences in Turkish and English. Guidelines are revised over time; check the current version before citing.
For teaching
Teaching with simulators, printable lab worksheets and audiogram figures for presentations.
06Simulators in class
Short suggestions for using the six simulators of the Simulation Center in class. Each simulator has learning, hint and free modes and a blind case option that hides the history and diagnosis.
Create an assignment
- Choose the simulator, the case and the mode. You can hide the diagnosis or have a random case picked from a group.
- Send the link or code to your students.
- Each student opens the link and types their first and last name. The diagnosis is the same for everyone; thresholds and measured values depend on the student's name.
- The case cannot be changed during the assignment. When finished, the student sends you the class code; paste it into the decoder below.
The decoder shows which assignment the code belongs to, the case the student received and whether the case, mode and student-specific values match the assignment.
Class code decoder
- Have students choose a case, or send them an assignment link from above.
- When the tests are finished, the student copies the code with the Copy code button on the evaluation screen.
- The student sends you the code by email or through your course platform.
- Paste the code here; measurements, answers, score and expected values are shown together.
The code is never sent to a server; decoding happens in your browser. Shortcut: Ctrl + Enter.

07Lab activities
Practical sessions run with the simulators, each with a printable student worksheet and a separate answer key. Worksheets open in the print dialog; choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. Criteria in the worksheets and checklists are based on the cited sources; check the current version of each source before use.
08Figures and presentation
Ready-made audiograms for lectures and talks. SVG files scale on slides without losing quality; in presentation mode you can project an audiogram and reveal the answer after discussing it with the class.
Figures are generated with the Audiogram Tool engine, so degree and type interpretations match that tool. Use "Edit in tool" to change thresholds or to get an A4 report or a share card. Figures are for teaching purposes.
